About Martin Roth

Frankfurt-born, Berlin-based pianist, composer, producer and live-act Martin Roth has been a fixture in the electronic music scene since the early 2000s. His rise to prominence was marked by a standout year in 2009, when he was named Beatport Star of the Year alongside Eric Prydz, Sasha, and Deadmau5. That year, Roth topped Beatport's charts five times, achieved 16 Top 10 positions, and earned three Beatport Annual Award nominations for his productions and remixes.

Since then, Martin has gone from strength to strength cementing his reputation in

the dance scene as a producer as well as DJ & Live Act playing its major venues

worldwide & resulting in a residency at the legendary Ministry of Sound in London

& Cielo in NYC.

Drawing inspiration from the classic progressive house of the '90s and '00s, as well as today’s deep house and electronica, Roth's music has garnered support from major names like Solomun, Tale of Us, Sasha, John Digweed, Armin van Buuren, and Pete Tong. His 2012 release, "Beautiful Life" on Anjunadeep Records, became one of the year’s defining deep house tracks, reaching the number 1 spot on Beatport and remaining in the Top 100 for six months, while also amassing over 5 million views on YouTube.

After the success of "Beautiful Life," Roth focused on both heavy touring and studio work, releasing the "Mel/Maya" EP in 2014, which reestablished his presence in the techno underground. His 2015 release, "Have You Ever," also on Anjunadeep, became a summer anthem with a more commercial appeal.

In the following years, Roth expanded his artistic range, releasing the "Ultraviolet" EP in 2017 and the "Organic Cold Brewed Hipster Funk" EP in 2019.

He also launched a new alias, An Analog Guy in a Digital World, blending organic instruments with electronica in a format tailored for live and festival performances. The unexpected success of this project, with 25 million streams across platforms, led Roth to focus on his debut album under this alias, released in 2020 on his own Lunatique Music label. Tracks from this ambient-focused album, such as "Simplicité" and the title track, were featured in advertising campaigns, fashion shows, and films, including a Google documentary in 2023.

Continuing to evolve, Roth released his next ambient acoustic studio album "Mono No Aware" in late summer 2022 on Anjunadeep Reflections. He also maintained his connection to club music with the "Watermelon Sugar" EP, released in spring 2022, showcasing his ability to blend his deep roots in dance music with his ever-expanding artistic vision.

With a unique ability to connect with his audience, Martin Roth's performances are truly unforgettable.
